Logline: A man wondering about what could have been gets a little heavenly help in understanding that some doors are closed for a reason.
Opening closed doors won’t always give you the life you might expect.
Jason hits his mid-life crisis head on and is worn down with the question of what could have happened if things had gone differently. Things are OK, but they aren’t as great as he had hoped if certain doors hadn’t been slammed in his face. Theo and Rich, two heavenly messengers, come on the scene with that answer (and some jokes thrown in for good measure). They give him a peek at roads his life could have gone down, and how the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. In the end, Jason learns contentment, but is surprised when an unexpected opportunity comes that could help write the next chapter of his life.
Some doors are meant to be closed.
Through comedy, heart and the wisdom of experience, this story helps us understand the answer to the question “What if…?” isn’t always as clear as we would like. Entertaining Angels walks the fine line of being hilarious without being heretical. Our angels may be ancient from Jason’s point of view, but they speak his language of 80s and 90s pop culture that help him see that truth is relevant yesterday, today and forever. And, in the end, he learns that the door you least expect to open is the one that will change your life the most.
